Wow Albert! Your work always amazes me, your imagination seems boundless and so does your ability to get it on paper. These are all amazing, including your new header. Ilove the Knight in the bottom one.
You are a true watercolorist. These are lovely images. My favorite is the figure walking through the hills. Great stuff. Thanks for stopping by the blog.
hello albert! thank you very much for leaving your sweet comment on my blog, i'm so pleased. Wow, I'm impressed with your wonderful paintings / drawings! I'll add you in my blogroll! =D
That good for knowing that you if interests for watercolor. Interesting your process of work. I did not know of the Sennelier watercolor. Here in Brazil, we have few options of watercolor, paper and brush. I used winsor & newton watercolor and normally the paper Fabriano F5. It is very good for details. Already I tried the o Arches very cold press but I did not like resulted. My process is simple: I make an sketch in a normal paper and later I go for the light table with the Fabriano and make I use to advantage the main lines of the first sketch. Later I paint. I do not have rules for the painting since I never studied painting in the academy or in books. I find that I finished creating a form to work fast, because I always worked in newspapers. Thank´s, Lelis ps sorry for my bad english
...I really enjoyed looking through your artwork here. I esp. enjoyed your color renderings for your second book project. There's a nice differentiation between the character and bg tones, as well as having a good depth to those bg tones while still keeping them subtle (if that makes any sense). Is really a hard thing to do, and you do it well.
I really liked the unfinished color piece you have, about three or four posts down. It's actually quite interesting to see your work with more opaque colors, almost like cell shading in a way. It really works well with your character design sensibilities. Reminds me a little of Wind Waker, which is a good thing, of course. ;)
Like I said, I really enjoyed checking out your work here. I love seeing story/character development, and you have alot of that here. Good stuff, yo.
Is there a release date for any of these publications as of yet?
I'm an artist working in the public school system who is always learning as well. My college days were spent at the amazing Ringling College of Art and Design where I learned how paint and developed a love for teaching and late night drawing!
